CITY COUNCIL 2023

In 2022 the city council completed the redistricting process based on the 2020 census. The boundary lines in lower manhattan were changed to accommodate the change in population of the districts; district 1, 3, and 4 gained population relative to 2.

The city council passed maps removing parts of the district below Delancey, expanding the districts western boundary  – in some cases out to 6th avenue – and shrinking the districts northern boundary. None of the NYCHA development, Vladeck Houses, is part of city council district 2 now
