About CoDA (Coalition for A District Alternative)

CoDA is a grassroots, multiracial, multicultural political force rooted in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. We believe in power from the community — advocating for affordable housing, quality education, workers’ rights, sustainable economic development, day care, justice and equity. CoDA mobilizes residents to engage in civic affairs and supports candidates of integrity who reflect our diverse community and our common aspirations.

CoDA’s Annual Gala

Join CoDA members, neighbors, community leaders, and elected officials for an afternoon of celebration and purpose. Together, we’ll honor CoDA’s founders, celebrate our accomplishments and recommit to protecting and strengthening our democracy. Enjoy music, refreshments, and great company as we come together to build power for the year ahead
